She Roars

She was born voiceless in a dysfunctional educational system
So, she wept and dreamed
Of educational equity
Of simultaneous classroom learning and healing
She awoke to discover that students gave her the voice of a Black Panther
She growled for their rights but no one heard
So, now
She roars!
