Oakland Community School Philosophy: "The instructors' function is to facilitate the children's learning as opposed to lecturing to them. The children are encouraged to communicate with each other as part of their learning experience. Three representatives from Groups 2 through 8 comprise the Youth Committee which has direct input into the academic and activity-related decision-making at the School."
Digital Bridge Academy Philosophy: “We believe that students can prosper if given the right tools and support. In our program, students are offered the chance to prove they can handle an accelerated learning environment where college-level performance is expected.”
Upward Bound Philosophy: "The students and staff of Upward Bound believe that motivation is the prerequisite for learning. Consequently, Upward Bound doesn't just teach to, but instead "turns on" students. Upward Bound attempts to utilize the personal strengths of each student with the hope that each student discovers individually the worth of education."
